The David Regan Orchestra is a 16-piece big band led by American alto saxophonist David Regan. The formation of top Swiss jazz musicians has been thrilling audiences for more than 20 years and has played a decisive role in shaping the Swiss jazz scene with its powerful sound and subtle artistry, as well as establishing the Monday Night Sessions in the Schützenkeller Rheinfelden. The big band regularly plays with internationally renowned jazz artists such as Scott Robinson, Dick Oatts, Bob Mintzer and Steve Willson. The repertoire includes the best available arrangements by Thad Jones, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Bob Brookmeyer, as well as contemporary arrangers such as Bill Holman, Jim McNeely, Maria Schneider, Tom Pierson and Rich DeRosa, in addition to compositions/arrangements by current and former band members Carlo Schöb, Joel Affolter and Dave Montreuil.
